Punta Gorda is a spot located on the north shore of Fuerteventura, near the Toston Lighthouse.
Punta Gorda is your go-to surf spot when other spots on the north shore are overly chaotic, oversized or windswept. Exceptionally, the location is navigable even in strong onshore winds. Punta Gorda works with all swells from north to west. Be careful of strong outgoing currents – constant paddling is not a must! Optimal conditions are found between mid and high tide.
This Beach is a compact, stretching approximately fifty meters, and is adorned with golden sand, rocky formations, and reefs. This beach is unspoiled and offers no amenities. The nearest town with facilities is El Cotillo.
