Tarajalejo Beach

  • Beach facilities:
  • Water sports:

The coastal town of Tarajalejo, in the southeast of Fuerteventura – one of the Canary Islands – has a large bay, around 1400 metres long and 45 metres wide. A prominent rocky seabed protects the bay’s fine black sands, studded with pebbles, from the gentle waves.

You can access Tarajalejo beach by car or on the nº 1 bus

, which leaves from Puerto del Rosario and Morro Jable every thirty to sixty minutes, via the FV-2.

This peaceful beach has a 4-star hotel, holiday apartment complexes, bungalows and campsites for overnight stays, as well as bars, shops and restaurants with excellent cuisine based around fish and seafood, all located very close to the bay.

This is an excellent option for a family trip where you can rest and relax by the tranquil sea or practise watersports such as windsurfing, diving, or kayaking, or other activities such as hiking, horseriding or simply going for a walk.

The serenity here is uninterrupted, even in summer, when most of the visitors are residents of the local town; the gentle lapping of the sea is the perfect backdrop to the peace and quiet.
