Matas Blancas Beach is a secluded, pristine bay 1500 metres long and 35 metres wide. It is located in the municipality of Pájara on the Canary Islands of Fuerteventura and is reachable by car via the nearest roads, the FV-2/ FV-617.
The beach boasts fine white and golden sand with gentle waves and soft breezes, perfect for anyone looking to escape
the hustle and bustle of daily life; its remote location means it is generally quiet. However, bear in mind that there are few facilities – no parking, buses, hammocks, parasols or showers.
Part of its charm, in addition to its tranquil and secluded setting, is in its attractive conditions for watersports. You can surf, windsurf and kitesurf here; the Fuerteventura Watersports centre offers lessons in the above activities as well as renting out the relevant equipment and gear.
Whether you want to escape the city and have fun practising watersports, or simply immerse yourself in the gentle sea breeze and the rhythmic cadence of the waves, Matas Blancas beach is the perfect place to be.
