Located in a semi-urban area, Las Playitas Beach is very popular with tourists and locals alike. There is much to do and see in this coastal town: golf courses, public pools, sports centres, and a promenade that leads into the town centre.
However, it manages not to be excessively busy. During summer, the bay is a holiday destination for many families looking for a fun, relaxing stay, while sports enthusiasts tend to visit the beach from October to March, when conditions are more favourable.
The beach at Las Playitas is 700 metres long with black sand, stony in parts. It is clean and safe, with lifeguards on duty year-round. It is also easily reachable by car and has the necessary facilities for a pleasant stay: deckchairs, showers, toilets, restaurants, disabled access, and parking.
