Gran Tarajal beach is located in Tuineje in southeastern Fuerteventura. It is near to the port and is popular with the locals. It spans 700 metres in length and, depending on the tide, an average of 90 metres in width.
There is space for everyone; the great conditions make it one of the island’s most popular blue-flag beaches. The sand is fine,
dark brown and dense; perfect for building sandcastles and swimming in the sea.
Gran Tarajal is beloved by families, elderly people and couples for its amazing qualities and facilities.
This is an urban beach, with small buildings, houses and shops in the surrounding area. There is also a promenade dotted with restaurants, bars and cafés.
Gran Tarajal is not suitable for watersports, but is a great place to swim. You can easily get here by car or public transport, it has a good infrastructure (with toilets, showers and disabled access) and there are lifeguards on duty.
