Flag Beach

Flag Beach: A Kitesurfing Haven of White Sand and Turquoise Waters next Corralejo

Flag Beach, also known as Punta Prieta, is undoubtedly one of the most stunning beaches on the island of Fuerteventura. Stretching 1300 meters in length and over 300 meters in width, it boasts brilliant white sand and turquoise waters. Its breathtaking views are beautifully complemented by the scenic backdrop of Lobos Island. The beach reveals rock pools during low tide, offering a safe swimming experience on calm days. Additionally, the circular volcanic rock formations not only enhance its allure but also provide natural shelter on windy occasions.

Location

Situated in the north of Fuerteventura, Flag Beach is nestled within the boundaries of the Corralejo Natural Park. It proudly stands as the first beach south of Corralejo and boasts excellent accessibility, whether you’re arriving on foot or by car from the nearby town.

Activities and Facilities

Thanks to the protection provided by Lobos Island, Flag Beach is largely shielded from storm surges. This makes Punta Prieta the go-to location for a range of water activities in the island’s northern region. Whether you’re into windsurfing, kitesurfing, or wing foiling, this beach has something for everyone. Visitors, however, should be cautious during low tide due to the emerging rocks in the water. Catering to a diverse audience, Flag Beach is a preferred spot for sports enthusiasts, tourists, families, and even naturists, particularly in its northern areas.
