The area’s clean, crystal-clear turquoise waters provide stunning views alongside its black sand and stone-studded shores. Swimming is not recommended due to the high waves and strong currents, but it is the perfect place to go on hiking or cycling excursions.

The beach is home to a disused shower area, with mud baths just a few metres away, which have long been used for therapeutic and beauty purposes.

The volcanic soil of Fuerteventura has detoxifying properties that help rejuvenate the skin.

There are no lifeguards on duty at this beach since it is an uninhabited region with few visitors – there are no facilities, restaurants, shops or watersports equipment hire centres.
