Las Hermosas: Black Volcanic Sand And Unique Rock Formations
Las Hermosas also known as Playas Negras, is located on the western coast of Fuerteventura. It is a beach with black volcanic sand, surrounded by a rugged, wild landscape. In the surrounding area, various paths allow exploration of rock formations eroded by the sea and wind. One of the notable landmarks here is the famous Crocodile Rock, a formation resembling a crocodile’s head.
Playas Negras boasts a juxtaposition of pristine waters, black sand, and an enchanting coral reef. However, the sea in this area is often rough and is not recommended for swimming due to strong currents.
